Whilst there were challenges, it was something that I enjoyed leading. Show less In this role i looked after most aspects of ground safety. I handled all of the safety reports, assessments and investigations that were related to the ground handling operation. I liaised with handling agents regarding compliance and safety. I was responsible for co-coordinating the GOM updates ensuring that our procedures were kept up to date, i was also responsible for ensuring this was sent to all of the ground stations after publication. She was fairly new to the safety team at the time and in the absence of the project lead (Shiv away on work) during the phase 2, it was quite a challenge for Tanith to take on the responsibility to deliver the most complicated part of the project. She rose to the challenge and delivered the phase 2 of the project with great success. Tanith has a great balance of people skills and technical knowledge which was crucial for this phase of the project. She has learnt a lot of technical details from Shiv just by supporting him during the phase 1 and utilised that knowledge to support the team in phase 2. With the absence of the main lead of the project Tanith was faced with great difficulties but her positive approach, determination took the entire project team through to success. She was innovative with solutions, confident and extremely resourceful. The phase 2 of the project is a great success and has been rolled out to all the flight crew, cabin crew, engineers and ground handlers of Thomson Airways. This process change is key to the increased engagement of the remote workforce with the safety culture of Thomson Airways." Show less
