  The amount of waste produces in high proportion of allwaste produced by man-made fibre industry abide byprocess waste reduction can make a big impact onoverall waste volumes. Yet it influence on policy canbe exerted in other areas of man-made fibre industrythis will help management to increase awareness onthe waste reduction of texturing machine and certainworkers policy towards attending the breaks on indi-vidual machine. This could be the major solution onwaste reduction in DTY process. During the projectwork, the trials and test readings were taken in standard atmosphere by adopting the regular work practices followed in the industry. It was found that thepoor man handling were solely responsible for high waste generation in DTY section. The DTY department comprises AALIDHRA (AFT-11DD) machinesof 28 creels each side, no of positions 224 and creelcapacity 16 cheese. In this research each machineside were studied for 24 hours to get the amount ofwaste generated, the details are divided in to two parts. Show less
