  As part of this Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Centre, I got the opportunity to work with drug and alcohol dependent men who needed psychological intervention. I was part of a four member team who worked with different individuals to help them overcome their addiction related problems. I got the exposure to work with these clients at an individual level, as groups, and with their families. As a team we also worked at psycho-educating the in- house staff about the various skills required to deal with these clients. Show less

  I worked in this school for a period of six months. During these six months, my knowledge about children and the difficulties they faced grew immensely. I was able to work with about 3-4 children between the ages of 7 and 16 years. In this Institute I was part of a six member team and we worked with the children with difficulties based on observations sessions during the class hours and feedback from teachers regarding child’s academic, social and psychological well being.I also got the opportunity to work with two teachers in the school and this enhanced my counseling skills with adults. I got a chance to do group work with the senior teachers of the school, during which time I learnt and helped teachers cope with difficulties they faced as part of the school. Show less
