  HSBC Latin America (Personal Financial Services) Management Intelligence & PlanningPersonal Financial Services Direction for the Latin America Region, comprising twelve countries (Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Panama, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Honduras, Paraguay, Peru, El Salvador and Uruguay). Lead Developer in charge of implementing Business Intelligence Solutions to meet the requirements of both the general management and the regional businesses. Business Intelligence Tools were usually customized using ASP .net (C#), MS SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS and jQuery. For some local applications PHP, MySQL, and Pentaho were also used.• Built a common Management Intelligence Platform for the twelve countries using ASP .net, MS SQL Server. This management tools comprised a standard package of Web Applications, based on the best practices from every country. Also coordinated the incorporation of every country to the system by developing SSIS ETL packages and training local Liaison Information Officers to make the loads.• Designed, created and managed a set of reports and business applications, responsibilities included: consulting with regional management and the local PFS heads, building and publishing the applications, training end consumers, coordinating the information delivery process and monitoring and promoting within relevant forums. This applications and reports where created using different technologies, usually ASP .net (C#) with MS SQL Server and SSRS, but for some PHP/MySQL/Pentaho was used alternatively.• Trained and managed twelve Liaison Information Officers (one for each country). The area had a whole platform of tools working for the Personal Financial Services division, which needed to be ported to a new, more efficient platform and adapted to be able to include all other divisions in the bank. The work was usually divided in teams of two Project Leaders, one in charge of programming and maintaining the applications and one to face the business areas and to negotiate with providers.• Reengineered Balanced Scorecards by rewriting the code using ASP .net 2.0 (C#) with MS SQL Server 2005 and rebuilding the ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services. The improvements in the applications allowed serializing the creation of BSCs incorporating new business areas at a 500% faster rate. • Redesigned and reprogrammed the front-end of the sales tracking application for Personal Financial Services and Premier and created ETL’s that reduced the operation time by 90%. • Designed and built a complete MI solution for the Private Banking Division, using SQL Server Analysis Services and Reporting Services and was responsible for the development, launching and management of the final product. Part-time job, working from home using ASP .net, SQL, JavaScript/jQuery/AJAX, jQuery-UI, SSIS, FusionCharts and MS Access. Technology used depended on the customer’s capabilities and requirements. Jobs were usually assigned to only one programmer who was responsible for the design, development, implementation and maintenance (including databases, ETL packages, and the website) with little supervision.• Designed and built custom web solutions for Nextel, L’Oreal and Crédito Familiar. These were Web Applications showing survey results that allowed drill-downs and aggregates. The applications were developed in ASP .net, with MS Access or MS SQL Server Databases, using also jQuery, jQuery-UI and FusionCharts. • Designed and built the Balanced Scorecard Web Application for Grupo Financiero Mifel. A complete BSC solution available to all levels in the organization (Top Management to Sales Force), including a SQL Server Database, SSIS ETL processes to gather information from legacy sources, input screens for manual capture and a Web Application developed in ASP .net.• Created the Public website as well as internal administration and measuring tools for Suri Bienes Raíces.   As a member of the Applications Development Team, worked in several projects creating, maintaining and extending business applications and processes.• Worked in the development of a payroll processing system for the sales force. The system performs complex calculations related to the variable remuneration of the entire sales force in AutoNation, with new compensation plans being added periodically. Was responsible for writing the code for the calculations in SQL, incorporating new external sources using SSIS packages and Web Services, and maintaining and adding new functionality to SSRS reports and a C# .net Windows Application. Was also responsible for preparing deployments using SQL Server Database Tools, TFS and Jenkins. A great emphasis was placed on SQL optimization and a creating flexible designs. • Designed and implemented a system to query Google Analytics and store the information in a local Data Warehouse. The system consists of a C# client application implementing the Google Analytics API, a SQL Database, SSIS packages and SSRS reports.• Worked in the development of an ASP .net Web Solution to manage operations related to Customer Care in the store front, using MVC 5, Angular and Bootstrap with a SQL backend, SSIS and SSRS. Responsibilities included both front-end and back-end coding, design and deployments.• Performed support, extensions and/or improvements to other internal Web and Windows Applications, Web Services, BI and ETL processes as required by the business. The backends are written in .Net Core (C#), and the front ends are single page Angular applications. The microservices use either MongoDB or SQL databases and RabbitMQ as a message exchange, as well as exposing APIs. In addition to designing and coding new functionality, developers are responsible for writing tests using NUnit, demoing to product areas, identify and resolving production issues, and maintaining a set of tools used for application development, data seeding and reporting.Technologies used also include Grafana, SSRS, Python, Splunk and Kibana.
