The goal of the hackathon was to propose solutions to promote the development and growth of infrastructure, economy, community and human ambition within the colony. Our team came up with the idea Colony Net. The project aimed to help the economy and promote the idea of good behavior by administering a social credit score to each individual colony member. The social credit score was based on community feedback and day-to-day activities and purchases within the colony. The community feedback portion works by colony members up-voting or down-voting members based on their actions and the day-to-day activities would be tracked via IoT intergrations and RFID readers. Based on a person's social score, the infrastructure of the colony would grand or deny access to certain areas for example. The entire framework of the social score system and tracking capabilities is all hosted on the Ethereum blockchain and controlled by smart contractsThe hardware component of the project for RFID and IoT integrations was built using Arduino on an ESP8266.The Social Credit Score network was built on the Ganache Ethereum based blockchain with Smart Contracts written in SolidityThe integrations between the Iot and blockchain was built using NodeJS and AWS Lambda with the APIs being served by AWS API GatewayThe front-end application for the community voting system was built using React and hosted on an AWS EC2 instance running NGINX Show less
