Oversee that such irrigation retrofits do not pose any risks to salt-intolerant plants, otherwise propose the site utilize a dual-irrigation system. One that keeps salt-intolerant plants on a separate potable system, while irrigated the rest of the landscape with recycled water. - Help designers and contractors eliminate the risks of cross-connection between potable and non-potable water supplies during the design and construction phases of a project. Work with the Division of Drinking Water and AWWA Cross-Connection Certified Inspectors to ensure safe recycled water use. - Work with other agencies in moving towards the goal of Indirect Potable Reuse and Direct Potable Reuse of advanced treated water.
