  Primary responsibilities include: coordination of all sociology course offerings, degree programming, and annual department schedules; assurance of quality in all offerings leading to the Bachelors Science and the Bachelor of Arts in Sociology; oversight of the BS and BA in Sociology on-campus and distance modalities, the degree track in addictions counseling, and the MPS in Social Entrepreneurship degree; team leader of eight permanent faculty and 20 adjunct faculty; supervision of administrative assistant and other support staff; evaluation of all permanent faculty in tenure, promotion, and merit review; facilitate faculty development in teaching, scholarship and service; management of department budgets. Teach two courses every fall and spring semester and one course during the summer. Conduct social research, and engage in department, college, university, and community/state service. Show less
