      - Performs duties of an Administrative Assistant and Patient Care Advocate- Balances the staffing schedule for the Registry Nursing Department. Makes sure all Registry staff has their requirements filled out, which includes weekends, off shifts, holidays. Makes sure we have a well balanced Staffing Schedule for each month.- Orients all new Patient Care Advocate staff on the nursing units - Uses the software program EPIC for Bed Placement. Which consists of placing patients from the Emergency Department, Surgery Centers, Outpatient Physician Offices, into the right level of care beds they need on admission. Also transfer inpatients floor to floor, if they are in need of a higher level of care bed, or if they have been downgraded from a critical floor to a med surg floor. - Fall Committee, monthly meetings to discuss ways to prevent patient falls-Registry Patient Care Advocate- Certified Nursing Assistant that floats throughout the hospital to all units including: Emergency room, ICU, Step Down, Telemetry, Med Surg, Dialysis, Orthopedic, Rehab, and Psych. Performs duties of a Nurse’s Assistant to include patient care, blood glucose readings, ambulate the patient, fill water pitchers, charting on the Epic. Reports health issues to the supervising nurse. Takes care of the patient’s personal hygiene, including bed bath, shaving, nail care etc., toileting residents, emptying catheter bags, monitors vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure, set up of meal trays, and documenting food and fluid intake, feeds patients, serves nutritional supplements, make beds, keeps the patient’s space clean and tidy transports patients to the therapy area, turns bed ridden patients to prevent bedsores, weigh patients, INO charting, stocking, orders supplies.
