  Food and Beverage I was employed in the role of general assistant at the hotel, but specialised in the Upper Deck restaurant ran by Chef Alex Aitkin. I worked part-time whilst still studying and was offered a full time contract immediately upon finishing college. I obtained good experience in many aspects relating to the industry; Barman - This is the position which I enjoyed the most. I feel I thrived and developed many skills in this area, which included making and serving a wide range of cocktails, free pouring, line cleaning, and barrel changing.Waiter – Based in their 2AA rosette restaurant, I extended my skills and experience in hospitality.Concierge -I carried out this role through the spring of 2013. Being the first contact point for guests, assisting with luggage, parking their cars were my main responsibilities. I also developed and introduced a welcoming letter for the hotel. Conference and Banqueting - The area of the hotel where I worked constantly throughout my time here, mainly assisting on weddings and functions of all sizes to a high standard. I also had the responsibility of running some small functions with my own team.The Jetty Restaurant – As a strong member of the team, I was requested to assist at the renowned Jetty restaurant to assist during periods.   This is a brand new pub and fine dining restaurant that has recently opened. (August 2015). I was approached to join the Dog and Badger by a previous member of management at Chewton Glen. I started two months prior to opening meaning I had the pleasure of planning of selecting and organising the full range of cocktails, beers, spirits and wine. The bar itself is impressive, styled around the Riva boat it boasts a 450 bin wine list, 150 different spirits, liqueurs and a vast selection of draught and bottled beers. My duty management responsibilities includes; managing a team of up to 10 staff; purchasing new and existing lines, stock management and day to day running of a busy bar. Show less

  After returning from traveling i felt, i needed a new challenge to gain experience in different fields such as administration. Using my previous customer service skills i had gained from hospitality i adjusted them to working in a small team in the lettings department. My main responsibilities were to follow through the whole process of moving someone into a rented property, from calling the applicant, negotiating with the landlord, agreeing tenancy agreements and eventually moving them in.
