  Working alongside academic staff in the development of the course HUMN1500 'Perspectives: Practices, Cultures and Creative Communication', as part of the newly developed minor 'Professional Pathways'. Here I continue to gain valuable experience in how tertiary education is designed, implemented and improved. I also have gained valuable event planning and event management skills.Duties include:• Tutorial preparation and planning• Tutorial presenting and conducting• Creation of assessment marking criteria and rubrics• Collection of resources for students• Using student feedback to tailor the course to fit student needs• Planning UQ HASS Networking Event, UQ Documentary Series, UQ HASS Cohort Building Event Show less Prepared and presented a guest tutorial for Dr. Karin Sellberg's first-year course 'HUMN1500 Perspectives: Practices, Cultures and Creative Communication'. The tutorial was for the week on Practical Skills. The tutorial was in the UQ Fryer Library and gave students the opportunity to explore some of the Fryer Library's primary sources such as textual, photographic, geographical, and archaeological materials. Duties involved: • Liaising with Fryer Library staff to plan tutorial and select materials • Creation and design of a worksheet to enhance student learning • Planning an effective structure for the 1-hour tutorial • Working in small groups and individually with students • Showing students how to approach problems, and progressively revealing solutions through questions designed to encourage student understanding.
