  Doctorate (not completed). I studied for my PhD in science (mainly Chemistry and Biology but also included fabrication techniques). My project was based on developing a sensor using microfluidics and nanotechnology to detect chemical and biological samples such as pathogenic bacteria with the use of the analytical skills I have gained over the years.   My current role requires maintaining the Quality Management System to ensure all procedures, processes, equipment and employees are compliant to the OECD principles of GLP. I actively ensure I have up-to-date knowledge of Regulatory Compliance and awareness of any changes to the regulations. I am involved with delivering the GLP training to all staff as well as mentoring and training colleagues. In my years of being an Auditor I gained significant experience of conducting many types of audits, inspections, hosting Sponsor visits and aiding in regulatory visits. This has enabled me to ensure I was capable of setting up a GLP laboratory according to the regulatory requirements which was successfully achieved in Dec 2020 when RPS was granted full membership of the UK GLP Compliance Programme with MHRA.
