    • US Army

      Sept 1982 - Sept 1984
      Military Police

534th MP Company (Straf) Fort Clayton, PanamaI was so honored to have been a member and trained in my formative years as a young Police Officer by working with the finest men the US Army had to offer as a Military Policeman. I learned a code of conduct and sense of brotherhood that has lasted my entire life. I will argue to my last breath that the 534th MP Co was the finest Military Police Company ever assembled by our Government. In all the organizations I have ever been a member of, none compare to experience I received from the banks of the Panama Canal with great leadership and standing shoulder to shoulder with the most awesome fighting men I ever met. God Bless America and God Bless the Veterans of the 534th. Show less

    • Washington County Sheriff's Office

      Apr 1985 - Aug 1987
      Correctional Officer

Management of inmates, maintained facilty security, trained incoming new hires. This involved dispute resolution, hand to hand combat, verbal and physical force techniques, and maintaining a calm disposition in order to maintain a 360 degree view of my surroundings at all times. The key to this job was mastering the skill of de-escalation in dispute resolution. However the pace was much too high and very little personnel to carry out the functions of the day. I had to wear many hats and juggle many tasks at the same time. Show less

    • Professional Musician

      Jan 1992 - now
      Bassist-Guitarist

I have played music for money ever since I discovered there were people that would pay me to do it. I am always looking for a new music project or group to play with, however, the pleasure I have received from the half a dozen years or so of playing Dixieland music with Bristol's Own Dixieland Band is just non-comparable. I can play any style of music but I have found my soul in Dixieland.
