I also provided some backup support for Solidworks.The nature of this work required a flexible approach, with customers spread throughout Scotland, as a result I was be responsible for my own diary and workload as well as working without supervision.   The training team at Excitech consisted of 9 staff training a large variety of Autodesk Software. My specialism has been the core AutoCAD product, I have trained this to the highest levels whilst also doing some basic training in Revit Structure and Revit Architecture. My favourite training courses are update training where I teach experienced users numerous tips and tricks with their existing software whilst also teaching them new features of the later versions.I also teach the basics of AutoCAD customisation, normally in a freeform workshop environment which is a nice balance between formal training and consultancy services.I deliver training courses all over the UK including regularly in Glasgow Manchester and London. My training preparation work is mainly completed at home.While at Excitech I have passed an AutoCAD 2009 Certified Professional exam. Show less

  Subsea 7 are a multinational Subsea Contractor with approximately 200 Draughtsmen and more than 1000 users of Autodesk software products. Due to the downturn in the Oil and Gas sector the small CAD Support team is being closed down.Over time I have (with the assistance of 2 others) overseen the roll out of software upgrades for AutoCAD Mechanical and Autodesk Inventor, ensuring that all installations were configured consistently. We have now developed a comprehensive set of CAD standards for drawing production. I have personally developed a series of AutoCAD configurations and customised standard tools to ensure that the standards are adhered to and that they are the most efficient way to draw so that costs were also driven down in conjunction with an improved drawing quality.I am particularly proud of the Global CAD desktop that we have created, this is a very comprehensive set of tools comprising a combination of standard and dynamic block libraries, standardised layering and annotation, numerous automation routines for repetitive processes and consistent (and automated) printing. All of this has been done using a combination of AutoCAD knowledge, AutoLisp, and Visual Basic. The setup is under continual development and as such has been designed so that new functionality can be easily and automatically rolled out to all users. Show less
