This position assists with support and coordination between National Field Operations and our Incident Management Team (IMT) with the North Branch employees and Volunteers who provide territory operational leadership for TRs disaster response missions. The Field Leader takes an innovative approach to focus on consistent and professional operation management and developing volunteer leadership capable of commanding on-scene operations utilizing subject matter experts as instructors and coaches to help bridge NIMS application to TR's needs.The Field Leader also acts as a guide for volunteer leadership to navigate the balance between our unique culture and the increasing professional management necessary to support the growth and diversity of future responses in the Midwest territory. Show less The Team Rubicon Incident Management Team Planning Section Chief (IMT PSC) position reports directly to the Incident Management Chief (IMT Chief) and Team TR Incident Commander (IC) when deployed. The responsibilities of this role are to manage the operational planning process and be responsible for managing field leaders with the ability to train, mentor, and develop volunteers in the utilization of the Incident Command System tailored to TR operations.TR’s disaster management and incident response activities require a trained volunteer base, thorough incident planning, and dynamic leadership during operations. The IMT PSC actively participates in TR’s adoption of standards set forth by FEMA through the National Incident Management System (NIMS). The IMT PSC is tasked with overseeing the disaster operation’s planning process while working closely with the IMT Chief and IC to ensure safety, accountability, and consistency during operations. This candidate must be capable of managing the operational planning process, they should display a preference to mentor TR leadership and volunteers to grow TR’s ability to plan and execute regional operations. This individual is also be assigned to other Command and General Staff positions that they are trained to fill. When the IMT PSC is deployed they are acting by virtue of delegated authority from the Director of Field Operations (DFO). The PSC is responsible for aspects of the response, developing Incident Action Plans (IAPs), and supporting incident operations. TR has a unique culture that requires individuals foolish enough to think they can change the world, and smart enough to have a chance.
