      Served as a research trainee on "The Oral Microbiome Project" under the supervision of Dr. Aastha Aggarwal. Conducted an extensive literature review on ‘Oral Cavity Cancers in Individuals without Primary Risk Factors (Tobacco, Betel Nut Products, or Alcohol Use)’.Assisted with wet laboratory work, such as microbial DNA extraction from saliva samples using the QIAamp DNA microbiome kit, maintaining a log of laboratory procedures, and collecting fresh saliva samples for the modification and standardization of protocol.This experience helped me refine my technical abilities for meticulous data collection and analysis, and also taught me the importance of adhering to the protocol, along with insights into the intricacies of sample collection from participants. During this course, I also gained experience conducting literature reviews, which will be helpful to me in future research projects. Show less
