  I earned a BA in Psychology and Criminology. My thesis in the Psychology Department explored Attention Seeking Behavior and Substance Use. My thesis in the criminology department explored the Opiate Epidemic and related constructs.

  Research Coordinator
  I collaborated with Dr. Kathleen Unroe and an interdisciplinary team of nurses, physicians, and research staff. Our projects OPTIMISTIC and UPLIFT centered on improving the medical care provided to older adults at the end of their lives. I assisted with the implementation of these projects, thus I learned about making systematic change to healthcare. Additionally, I created regulatory documents, IRB submissions, surveys, and collaborated with regulatory agencies (NIA and DSMB).

  I am a counselor at the Counseling Practicum Clinic at Ball State University. I see adult clients from the Muncie community and provide psychotherapy. Additionally, I conduct psychoeducation groups. I am supervised by a Counseling Psychologist and a Counseling Psychology Doctoral Student. I assist in teaching research seminars, social psychology, and psychology of prejudice undergraduate courses. My role includes working closely with students to develop research ideas and research materials, grading assignments, teaching Qualtrics, and teaching SPSS. I conduct stigma and diversity research with Dr. Linh Littleford in a research team. Presently, we are completing data collection on a study of affirmations towards individuals with mental illness. We are also collaborating on my thesis which utilizes semi-structured interviews with therapists to explore therapy with low-income clients. Additionally, Dr. Andy Luttrell and I are completing a meta-analysis on health messaging.

  Research Intern
  I collaborate with Dr. Deborah Miller on qualitative research about attitudes towards non-binary people. We are using thematic analysis to analyze participant response with the goal of creating a scale of attitudes toward non-binary people.
