Show less I was expat to London to work on the T3IB project at Heathrow Airport.The project was part of BAA’s £900m improvement plans, which demanded a cutting edge baggage handling system, of which the Terminal-3 Integrated Baggage Building was at the heart. The new building measures 200m x 50m x 25m and it consists on a braced steel frame with composite deck structure bearing on piles foundation. The primary steelwork was designed to support mezzanine levels at each floor. A new steel bridge was built to connect the new facility with the existing terminal-3 building. Show less

  Design Lead for the Amazon Fulfillment Warehouse in Barcelona

  Amazon’s new facility covers an area of over 60,000 sqm, with a total construction area of approximately 220.000 sqm in 4 levels. Deep foundation of around 100 km precast piles and a joint-free structural design on a 4-stories precast concrete over a 50cm depth foundation slab. The design included a post-tensioned transfer slab over the existing L9 tunnel. A performance based fire design approach was adopted to ensure the multilevel warehouse met fire protection requirements.Alongside with Dragados construction team, design team worked together on fast-track construction basis, using BIM technology for project coordination and construction monitoring.
