      I did my M.Tech. thesis with Prof P M Dixit.TITLE: A study of residual stresses in plane strain cold rolling.Brief Description: To analyze the residual stresses in rolling, under plane strain condition, an updated Lagrangian elasto-plastic finite element formulation is presented. Friction at the roll-strip interface is incorporated only indirectly, as the boundary conditions at the interface are expressed in terms of incremental displacements.

      Process Engineering Lab at TRDDC is one of the innovation labs of Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (TCSL). The lab is involved in physics based modeling and simulation of the manufacturing processes. I was involved in applied research in the areas of process modeling, simulation, design and optimization of manufacturing / casting processes. The objective of is to develop fast, efficient and accurate mathematical simulation tools to help in design and development of metal deformation process. I was working on the integrated model development for the steel sheet manufacturing. This involves integration of various unit operations (steel making, continuous casting, reheating, rolling, heat treatment). Role included research, IP creation, execution of client sponsored R&D projects and providing consultancy to business groups of TCS. Show less
