Natwest Treasury Reserve Dealer and BackOffice Clerk

My first step away from a job and into a Career was with the NatWest.. Working at their Treasury Reserve Centre in my 20's involved plenty of backoffice work including taxation reports, problem and complaint resolutions and handling the odd Multi Million pound investment call form the rich and sometimes famous. I left Natwest to pursue a long time desire to travel the world.

    • Davies Group Limited

      Jan 2006 - Nov 2024

Through the years at Davies Group (18 and counting).* Crystal Reports Developer (MI Internal and Client Reporting)* Service Desk Coordinator* Service Desk, IT Support, Procurement and Application Support Manager* Davies Group IT Vendor and Contracts Manager* Group Operational IT Procurement ManagerMy first role at Davies came shortly after returning from a 12month career break where I travelled around Asia, Australasia and more... Getting back into the work life after a 12month break was a challenge on its own. 18 years later its good to look back at the changes in myself, my roles and career. The company was several hundred strong when I joined, and now through acquisition and growth we are a c9000 people strong business with the aim to increase that number dramatically in coming years. Working in a business that is very acquisitory has definitely brought many challenges over the years and especially the last 5 years or so. Covid hit hard changing the IT face of Davies to a home working model... I very clearly remember panic buying thousand of laptops and other homeworking pieces of hardware to aid the move to homeworking, still feels like it was only yesterday!I wonder what Davies will look like next year... Double the headcount to 18,000 staff and become an ever more global business? However, times are changing for me. A round of redundancies at Davies will end my current journey later in 2024. EXCITING times ahead as I look for a new adventure, the next step in my working lift... what will it be? Mostrar menos
