  The Global Conference for Biomimicry and Bio Inspired Innovation took place from 11-13 november 2016 at Utrecht Science Park, the Netherlands. In this role I supported the organisaties in tasks such as promotion, logistics and content, before and during the event. Writer for the BioSCOPE, a magazine of the department of Biology, faculty of Science at Utrecht University. The magazine appears 10 times a year and contains articles on scientific articles and biological discoveries. As Editor in Chief of the departmental magazine BioSCOPE I was responsible for managing the freelance writers and the communication with the designer. The magazine has an edition of 500 monthly and is spread across Utrecht University.

  At Stichting AAP I studied the behaviour of primates and looked for the relation between the bedding inside cages and the animals behaviour, such as social behaviour.Furthermore, I wrote my thesis on the definition of abnormal behaviour and the neurological pathways of stress behaviour.

  As a student Ecological Advisor for Ecological Consultancy Advident I work together with three other biology students in writing a consult for a pharmaceutical company in Noord-Holland. The company wants to increase the biodiversity on their ground. The consult report entails a design for the assessment of the current biodiversity and a plan with several options to optimalise and improve nature on specific parts of the company's land.

  At Centre ValBio I supported the data collection for the long-term behavioural study on the endangered Milne-Edward's Sifaka (Propithecus edwardsi). During my stay at the research institute I helped with data processing and analysis. I have also given an introductory workshop on R-programming and assisted undergrad students with their statistical analyses.At Association Mitsinjo I helped set up a long-term behavioural study for the critically endangered Indri (Indri indri), for which I trained local guides to collect data and do behavioural research.
