Besides Training, I was elected as Secretary and Treasurer part of the Professional Engineering Training Scheme (PETs) community. The responsibilities of a secretary encompass attending all available meetings to support the chairperson in taking essential meeting notes. Subsequently, the secretary organizes the minutes of the meeting on OneDrive, ensuring accessibility for all committee and management members. Furthermore, the position of secretary entails the responsibility of coordinating monthly meetings involving the committee and management team. These meetings serve as a platform to deliberate on various matters such as training events, social gatherings, and other avenues for CDT student engagement. The treasurer's responsibility entails the tracking and reporting of all expenditures incurred during the year to the management team authorities. These expenses may encompass items such as broadcasting equipment, resources for outreach programs, as well as food and beverages for significant events. One notable experience involved was participating in the organisation and coordination of a STEM outreach event, known as the "Legacy Event," during WESC 2023. Additionally, I had the opportunity to deliver a co-speech on the scale advancements in onshore and offshore turbine technology to an audience comprising 120 children and 20 teachers.Later also elected as the Edinburgh Representative, where my role involves engaging with peers about their research, ensuring their well-being through social lunches, and reporting back on the statistics of engagement in outreach activities to the WAMESS CDT management board. Also devising smooth strategies for everyone to be involved with outreach. Show less
