  Began as Head Foreign Teacher for Mega Franchise, promoted to R&D (educational program and event development). While my official title at Alpha Bright was Head of R&D for the English Department, I was actually doing a job best described as a combination of Educational Director for Franchise Schools and Project Manager: adapted Mega Blue Bird franchise material to appeal to a broader age range of students, developed original curricula for students outside of the Mega age-range, wrote original material for classes, annual speeches and plays; made daily reports (in Japanese), planned value-added programs for students (annual trips, Holiday parties, and English Day [an event I developed to work taking orders at a local restaurants McDonalds and Baskin 31 that offered coupons for students high school age and lower who could order in English in order to practice English in a real-world situation], and summer English camps).• Exceeded all projected enrollment goals, awarded School Certificates of Accomplishment 2008 and 2009, and Personal Certificate of Accomplishment in 2009 for a speech delivered• Wrote new foreign employee full time contract (English version), and worked with superiors to deal with employee relations and performance issues• Preformed Japanese clerical duties (informed consent, daily reports, daily financial reports)• Wrote and implemented vision statement, interviewed and trained staff, provided feedback in regular meetings; regularly allocated tasks to others, and lead team projects, • Wrote and delivered speech on leadership at local school levels in Japanese for annual seminar, wrote plays to showcase student abilities for annual seminar Show less
