    • Microsoft

      Mar 1991 - Feb 2001
Support Engineer: developed mission critical solutions for Developer Suite users & Corp. IT Depts

5 years as a Blue Badge & 3 as a contractor.Beginning: I answered a general, catch-all support phone line. I had to learn about dozens of technologies & hundreds of products, & how they all were or were not inter-related, then find the right place to place that caller to resolve his or her issue, in a short period of time, with a smile on the Customer's Voice being the end result. Then came the fun stuff! Learning & using our Developer Product Suite to build applications so that when providing support to Developers around the globe, my level of interaction exceeded everyone's expectations. To exceed our Customer's expectations we developed what was, at that time, cutting edge cool tools! Like the Support & Sales Knowledge Base, Forums for specific products & issues, as well as 24X7 IM or email solution support. This gig taught me more than I could ever learn anywhere else & grew a passion for technology that burns just as bright today! Current projects:Improving Water Quality of Red River, via Cattle & Dairy Farm alternatives to immersive herd hydration & cooling. Educating & implementing alternatives to allowing Farm Herds access to flowing streams & rivers, to cool down & to hydrate, which leads to massive pollution. Choices: Catch basin for Shed, Barn, House rain water run-off, Pond filled by Solar Pump, delivering River Water to Pond, with run-off & over flow filtered prior to entering river.8 Farms & enrolled & practicing alternatives. 10s of thousands of lbs. of pollutant eliminated each year.Growing the So. Central KY Raptor Improvement Program, via placement over various species by local farmer's stated outcomes.Building appropriate housing with a exact species focus, to attract & retain a specific Raptor Families, year after year.Project has 2.5 years of Success. We have added dozens of Barn Owl Colonies, Kestrels & Barred Owls. None are endangered but are extremely adept at reducing rodent populations. We locate Owls & Kestrels in close proximity due to Owls hunting at night & Kestrels hunting during the daylight, therefore adding greater pressure to the rodent population, creating great satisfaction among our Host/Partner Farmer. The happier the Farmer, the greater number of species we are able to introduce into thousands upon thousands of acres. This program has it's greatest success in getting the Farmers to completely eliminate the use of Rodent Poison & to view Poisons in general as a non-solution.We have begun Small House Construction on small plots of land. Housing constructed from salvaged Barns, Sheds, Stables & Homes. The small houses are from 200 sq. ft. to no more than 500 sq. ft. with a half acre for develop a sustainable footprint, energy being Solar, Wind & Wood. The walls are either Straw Bale, Rammed Earth, or a combination thereof, Earth Tube, or the old reliable Stick Framed, with large Posts & Beams located for maximum strength in the heaviest of winds. • Red River Trust

      Feb 2008 - Nov 2015
      Director

Eradicate dependence upon hand-outs/donations by forging revenue generating partnerships in areas that align with Watershed Improvement & Learning, such as the Amish Farmer's Market, which we sponsor & manage for the Amish Community, as a revenue source.Example: 1. Mobile Kitchens using Meats, Produce, Fruits & Grains grown in the fields adjacent to the River, truly bringing the Farm Bounty to the Consumer, bite by bite.2. Salvage/Recycle Barns, Sheds, Cabins & a few very old homes, creating a source of Materials to build small, riverside accommodations available for a fee to Lovers, seekers of Nature, Hunters & those needing Solitude. 3. Donated Mobile Homes: a blight on the countryside, 100s sitting abandoned, unused, with materials & skills, we have proven they an become 1st class homes, that are GREEN source of income!!!4. 5,000 acre Hunting Preserve: Members Only, managed for a profit as a subsidiary, as all of the above. And about a dozen more, including a River Baptismal Center, adjacent to the oldest Church in the region! We do from 5 people to 500. It seems that a good old country tent revival with 4 to 5 Gospel Groups, on stage, one after the other, brings in 5,000 to 8,000 paying guests. Show less
