      General surgery rotationI am currently doing rotation in general surgery. It involves working closely with surgeons and surgical teams to gain experience in various aspects of surgical care. It includes observing and assisting surgeries, participating in patient rounds, assisting in preoperative and postoperative care, learning about surgical techniques, understanding surgical indications and contraindications. I gained understanding regarding communication with patients and taking informed consents before procedures, counselling of patients and families before and after surgeries. I was able to gain experience regarding management of patients with conditions like appendicitis, cholelithiasis, pancreatitis, hollow viscous perforation, hernia, perianal diseases, malignant tumors etc. Show less General Medicine rotation 15/05/2023 to 15/09/2023 (4 months)I spent 4 months in general medicine. During this rotation I focused on patient's diagnosis, treatment and management of adult patients with wide range of medical conditions including COPD, CVA, myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, uncontrolled diabetes, chronic lover disease, infectious diseases etc. My responsibilities included conducting medical histories, performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting laboratory and imaging studies, and montioring patient progress.Radiology rotation 16/09/2023 to 15/11/2023 (2 months)I spent 2 months in radiology, during this rotation I focused on learning the principles and techniques of medical imaging to diagnose and treat various medical conditions. I worked closely with radiologists and technologists to interpret radiographic images including x-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, and ultrasound. My responsibilities included reviewing patient histories, selecting appropriate imaging modalities, interpreting images to identify abnormalities and generating comprehensive reports for the referring physicians.
