      People's Choice for Faculty of Science Student Council Elections Faculty of Sciences, VU Apr 2022 - In order to be in the Student Council of the Faculty of Science, you can either be nominated by the current members of the council, or campaign during elections and potentially get a space among the nominees.- Among the 15 applicants, only 9 are nominated, based on an interview session. I was not among the nominees but was determined to be a part of the council.- As a result, I had to campaign and get or exceed the threshold of 80 votes, and from there, I would be eligible to take one… Show more - In order to be in the Student Council of the Faculty of Science, you can either be nominated by the current members of the council, or campaign during elections and potentially get a space among the nominees.- Among the 15 applicants, only 9 are nominated, based on an interview session. I was not among the nominees but was determined to be a part of the council.- As a result, I had to campaign and get or exceed the threshold of 80 votes, and from there, I would be eligible to take one of the nominees' places, in descending order, if and only if I also had more votes than them.- I was ranked 13th by the current councilors, but with my passion, determination, persuasive and marketing skills, I was able to move up the rank to 9th position, which had rarely ever happened.- Thus, with the support of the students of the Science Faculty, I was able to be part of the student council and dedicate a year to helping students and voicing out their opinions and complaints towards the Faculty board.
