-Process owner of numerous fully automated inspection machines for final lead inspection. Process responsibilities include collection and analysis of product inspection data and preparation of daily/weekly defect reports with a focus on failure analysis. Provide root cause of analysis of failures and solutions to process engineers to help reduce defects by improving existing processes. Write FMEA documentation for both new and existing processes.-Process owner of automated equipment utilized in the fabrication of primary lithium battery cathodes for use in implantable cardiac devices. Process responsibilities included the subassembly, baking and punching of cathodes for battery stock. Primary focus on optimizing existing manufacturing process, materials, tooling, and equipment to improve quality and manufacturability. Worked to reduce variability to ensure that production and quality goals are met. -Wrote protocols and reports (IQ, OQ PQ AA, and TMV) to validate new and previously un-validated equipment to meet FDA requirements. Member of team responsible for the approval of these same documents for other owner’s equipment during the validation processUtilized Lean, Six Sigma, Engineering Essentials, and other relevant statistical tools (Minitab, DOE) to reduce variation and optimize manufacturing performance. Provided detailed engineering analysis and documentation including process characterization, qualification, and validation. Utilized internal protocols and GMP to assure high quality process and equipment descriptors and controls. -Monitored process and equipment daily utilizing Process Monitoring (PM), IQS/SPC charts, and Quality Works (Sigpod). Apply innovative approaches to permanently correct equipment and process problems. Utilize data and process knowledge to adjust process parameters as indicated by non-conforming products, poor yields, and other product quality issues. Show less
