      The D13 Equity Fellows Program is a fellowship in which a community of teacher leaders grow and develop their culturally responsive and sustaining teaching praxis and bring promising practices back to their school communities. This fellowship is funded through District 13’s participation in New York State’s Integration Project and is a professional development community for educators who are committed to working for racial equity in their schools and to growing as leaders.- Selected to co-lead an inaugural program designed to guide the New York City Department of Education’s District 13 through a tangible evolution into an antiracist educational landscape for local racially marginalized students and families.- Partnered with District 13 Superintendent Kamar Samuels, the New York City Department of Education’s Office of Equity and Access, The Minor Collective, Dr. Gholdy Muhammed and other renowned educational experts to develop culturally responsive and sustaining teaching praxis for educators, city-wide.
