  On site in Nepal, I helped set up various enterprises, including a volunteer program, a handicraft business, and an organic farm. Additionally, I worked as a grade 8 teacher, developed curriculums and protocols, and gave teacher training to new volunteers. Maya is an international social movement providing education in rural Nepal. The parents of the students pay for the education of their children with two days of labor a month instead of money. As country ambassador, I gave presentations about the organization at events and was the point of contact in the Netherlands for individuals and organizations interested in Maya.
