The scope covered the following areas of expertise: environment, geotechnical studies, track, signalling, structure, and drainage.2014Transilien K Line - Operating & Technical studies - Greater Paris, FranceGrand Paris Express is a group of 4 new rapid transit lines and 2 extensions of existing lines being built around the Greater Paris. Responsible of the feasibility studies and the preliminary design to define the best possibilities for serving the K line with the new Grand Paris Express network. The scope included both operating and infrastructures studies.2013 Chartres Multimodal hub - Chartres, FranceA 130M€ (AUD $210 million) project to reorganize Chartres station to an intermodal hub and facilitate the passenger’s journey between trains, departmental buses, city buses, taxis, cars as well as bicycles.Responsible of the feasibility studies and the preliminary design including technical coordination (≈ 15 specialists), scheduling, cost monitoring and reporting.   From October-2020 to October-2022Railway noise walls program - EOLE and CDG Express projects / SNCFImplementation of acoustic protections (walls and facade treatment) along railway right-of-way to reduce noise pollution: 13 walls with a total length of 5km and facade treatment for 160 homes.Amount of operation: ~30 million€The 2 projects involve design and construction supervision for 13km of noise walls (between 2m to 5m high) along two railways in Greater Paris Area. The total expected amount of construction is around 35M€ (AUD $56 million).I was Project Manager during the Design phases (Preliminary & Detailed) and oversaw:• Relationships and interfaces with stakeholders,• Technical coordination (8 specialties, ≈ 20 specialists),• Risk assessment & monitoring,• Cost control, • Scheduling, • Internal & External reporting.From February-2022 to September-2022Eco-bridge Chantilly / SNCFChantilly Forest, Greater Paris, FranceConcept Design of an eco-bridge (30m X 35m) over 4 rail tracks in Chantilly Forest. The scope includes technical aspects (structures, geotechnical, catenary) and environmental aspects (landscape integration, animals’ paths, creation of pond). I was in charge of the interfaces with stakeholders, the coordination between the technical/environmental aspects and all the tasks related to project management (cost, schedule, reporting, etc.).From May-2021 to September-2022Research on innovating railway noise walls / SNCFVanves-Malakoff, Greater Paris, FrancePreliminary studies on the possibility of installing low height noise walls, infill panels or rail damper along a railway in Vanves-Malakoff area. Ihave done the benchmark (including interviews with manufacturers) and has supervised the technical studies and the security and safety analysis. Show less Electrification of the Gretz / Troyes line – Phase 1The 180M€ (AUD $280 million) electrification of Gretz/Troyes line project involved electrification of 50km on an operating railway, removal of 22 existing bridges and construction of higher one, re-signalling of the entire corridor, installation of around 3000 catenary poles, unwinding of more than 200km of overhead line and associated telecommunications and power system, and removal and disposal of rail infrastructure no longer required. The scope also covered the demolition of a tunnel and its substitution by an open trench in cutting piles and, the renewal of 500m of railway.As Deputy Construction Director, I managed a team of 20 surveillance officers and engineers through the construction phase. This involved the review of all D&C construction and commissioning activities, release of all hold/witness point, review and resolution of all NCRs and RFIs, attend completion inspections and identify defects, review of Work as Executed Drawings, and payment certification.I also provided support to the Construction Director in managing interfaces with the project stakeholders, reporting, resource planning, capability and competency management and project cost control. The project includes tunnelling and surface works, 6 new stations, 2 services facilities, metro systems and rollingstock. Systra ANZ is Independent Certifier (IC).My scope includes :- Review of completion documentation,- Coordination with Surveillance Team to ensure timely close out of IC Issues, NCRs, Work lots review comments and RFIs,- Attend completion inspections and identify defects,- Follow up on defects until evidence is provided of resolution and close-out,- Coordinate the review of Asset Management Information and Work as Executed Drawings,- Participate in Completions meetings and working group,- Complete internal IC checklist for each portion prior to certification,- Provide input to the IC monthly progress and status report,- Maintain the IC Completion tracker.
