Ebola emergency response & case investigation team lead

As a member of the county's Rapid Response Team (RRT), I coordinated health education/promotion activities, contact tracing efforts, capacity building, and safe & dignified burial of Ebola victims to reduce the risk of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) transmission in communities, funeral homes, health facilities, etc.Key Accomplishments:▪ Trained more than 200 health workers from across the county that significantly contributed to the reduction of Ebola transmission in health facilities by 90% during the first 6 months of the epidemic, and gradually led to the end of the Ebola outbreak in Margibi.▪ Facilitated Dead Body Management (DBM) training and supervision of the county's burial team members that contributed to ZERO Ebola infection within the burial team.▪ Developed a database that captured and stored information from deceased persons buried by the county health team. This database was later used by humanitarian nonprofit organizations to verify family members of deceased Ebola victims eligible for social benefits▪ By the end of the Ebola epidemic, I received an award from USAID and the Liberian Government for my contributions to the fight against Ebola in Liberia Show less
