    • Monash University

      May 2014 - Apr 2018

Fundamental research into the crystal structure of hybrid organic-inorganic perovskite solar cells, and the application of this knowledge to optimise the performance of next-generation photovoltaics. My project was focused on using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) to study the crystallographic properties of perovskite solar cell thin films, correlating these properties with the macroscopic device properties. This included the careful development of low-dose protocols for studying highly beam-sensitive hybrid perovskites, combined with optimisation of solar cell device fabrication and characterisation methods. I was awarded the Mollie Holman Medal for my thesis. Show less
