      Educational consultant/founder

Mrs. Syed founded OLK12 to work on finding solutions for gaps in the quality of global education. By attended many conferences and projects as Speaker/Delegate/Coordinator, she was able to promote OLK12’s unique Open Source initiative to encourage global education internationally.Professional Development:As Educational Director she has worked on the ground with teachers in Pakistan creating Professional Development Programs to meet current teacher needs, assisted with the development of content and strategies for implementation and roll-out of a Course and Learning Management System. She has worked with local Pakistani teachers to develop strategies for assessment and achieving outcome based education within their schools as this was found to be the greatest Professional Development need across multiple grades. Provided solutions and assisted in developing career/college readiness courses, including extended learning opportunities in various fields which gave the teachers a path to which they could lead students from all walks of life, including those attending medical and engineering school, to those students who would enter into the economy within their home town right after graduation. Since 2008 in the state of New Hampshire, I have been a Professional Development trainer, assisting K-12 teachers in the implementation of Course Learning Managements Systems. This also includes how to effectively engage and assess students, using competency-model and then showcasing student work via portfolios for other academic institutions or employers to view. Working with teachers around the common core state standards, to build and integrate the technology available (LMS) at their school to increase student success was an integral part of all trainings.
