  Developed strategic campaigns to advance civil and women’s right, voting rights and LGBTQ rights on both State and National levels of government. Managed and mobilized all of CWA’s grassroots movement building efforts around human rights and social justice issues. This encompassed mobilizing a national organization of over 600 thousand members nationwide. Built coalitions with progressive and civil rights organizations, coordinated large scale civil disobedience and demonstration events: Journey for Justice, Democracy Awakening, and Women’s March on Washington. Co-designed and lead facilitator of the Fight Forward Training. Trained over 800 members on how racial bias, dog whistles and classism is shifting political power from the majority to the minority, and how this dynamic can be overcome.Managed $3.5 million budget supporting progressive organizations and fighting voter suppression, protecting women’s health, LGBTQ rights and social justice. Designed curriculum for and coordinated instruction for the prestigious Minority Leadership Program which has graduated and produced hundreds of leaders that have advanced to the highest levels of management within CWA. Training hundreds of members on a variety of subjects including Conflict Resolution, Collective Bargaining, Diversity, and Public Speaking. Coordinated CWA’s grassroots efforts to work in synch with the Political and Legislative Department. Planned and managed CWA Human Rights Conference and coordinated Human Rights reports and presentations to the national convention. Show less
