      Activities and Societies: Institute of Transporation Engineers (ITE) American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Cal Poly’s College of Engineering was named the best state-funded engineering program in the country via U.S. News and World Report.       Mr. Nye gained valuable engineering experience while working for a global leader in the transportation field during a six month co-op for the Road & Highway Division's Pacific Sector at Parsons. Performed roadway design, cost estimating, and hydrology engineering on four large scale projects spread across southern California.

      Project Management Intern

      Mr. Nye acted as an Assistant Project Manager for the San Leandro Unified School District, Measure M Bond Program. Responsibilities included assisting the Project Manager in providing project oversight and construction management for multiple projects throughout the District including the new showcase $13 million dollar San Leandro High School sports facility. This state-of-the-art sports complex includes a twelve lane competition swimming pool, associated pool facilities buildings, a synthetic turf football field with six lane synthetic track, and multiple baseball and soccer fields.       Mr. Nye gained valuable traffic engineering and transportation planning experience during the summer of 2015 while interning with Hexagon in the San Jose office. Worked on numerous projects where responsibilities included defining project scope of work, writing proposals, calculating trip generation rates, observing ramp meters, conducting parking analysis, conducting and preparing Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA) reports, and preparing Transportation Demand Management (TDM) plans.
