His projects included the Fire & Aviation National Information Systems Planning Project, the Air Quality Assessment Project and the Lands Management GIS Project. John also trained a number of IT staff in data modeling and business process modeling methodologies.

  Provided consulting services in support of an agency wide information resource assessment and planning effort. Included the development of enterprise business process models, information models and strategic plans for system development and replacement. Provided consulting support and participated in the recruitment of the organizations first Chief Information Officer. Was also retained to provide business and data analysis services on a number of system development efforts.

  John managed a number of projects during his stay at Weyerhaeuser including the Employee Benefits Business System Planning Project, Claims Administration Transition Project and the Employee Benefits Outsourcing Project. John participated in the RFP development, evaluation and selection of PeopleSoft to replace the company's home grown HR and Benefits systems. John was also on the IT transition teams for two major acquisitions (MacMillan Bloedel and Willamette Industries).

  John was hired along with associate Paul Price to manage the testing effort for the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) HIPAA Remediation Project. Soon after arrival, John was asked to take on the role of Deputy Project Manager. John served in that role until taking the job as the Project Manager to replace the MMIS.

  John managed the ProviderOne project since it's inception in 2004. He was assisted by associates Gena Cruciani and Paul Price who served as Deputy Project Manager and Applications Manager respectively. ProviderOne is the state's Medicaid Management Information System. Phase 1 went live in May 2010 replacing a 30 year old legacy system. Phase 2, Track 1 went live in January 2015 and Phase 2, Track 2 went live in March 2016.

  Was hired along with associates Gena Cruciani, Paul Price and Mike Davis to manage the implementation of Washington State's Health Insurance Exchange. The system (Washington Healthplanfinder) went live October 1, 2013. Since Healthplanfinder went live, John, Gena, Paul and Mike have continued to work on enhancement releases and special projects for the Health Benefit Exchange.
