Role: Project/Welding Engineer I was responsible for welding aspects of projects from bid stage to commissioning. Project Title: West Karoon Oil Fields Early Production Unit Project. Objective: The project was construction of early refinery of Arvandan. Maysun is a member of (EIED - Maysun – EDP) Consortium and is responsible for construction, management and supervision of a 165000 BPD production unit. My duty was all responsibilities of welding engineer such as bid preparation, WPS, PQR, WQT and PWHT procedure preparation, and supervision on welders’ performances. Key responsibilities: • BID preparation, Quotation of piping and welding items, TBE and CBE preparation.• Manage the subcontractors from contract preparation to Invoice reviews.• Solving procurement technical issues to Procuring materials, recognize and selection of suppliers and contractors for project.• Co-ordinate site activities including direction of contractors and team members.• Identify and resolve project risks and maximize opportunities.• Preparation and test of PQR samples (in lab) by Non destructive methods such as VT, UT, RT, and MT.• Evaluation of site welding repairs and preparing reports for my manager and metallurgist engineers include the type and reason of defects.• Supervision on test the weld of piping and base materials by Non destructive methods such as radiography tests, Ultrasonic test, Magnetic tests and report to my manager and metallurgist.• Estimation of non destructive tests value and costs for construction of project.
