      Planet NI is an initiative of National Instruments designed with the goal of helping improve the quality of life and the success of developing countries through education and technology use. This initiative aims to encourage local innovation by providing access to social development organizations, for educational institutions, entrepreneurs and small to medium scale enterprises (SMEs) to engineering tools.As the country coordinator for Planet NI Philippines, I lead and manage how the program is executed in our region to make sure we have a healthy growth of SMEs supported every year. I also identify and forge key partnerships with local and international organizations who share Planet NI's vision of boosting the growth of technology-inclined SMEs. Through this program, I have had the opportunity to not only help my company by volunteering to take on a role outside of my regular job, but to also give back to my country through SME support and local engineering empowerment. Show less I am responsible for managing industrial accounts of National Instruments Philippines (NIPH) in the Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, and Quezon (CALABARZON) and East Luzon regions. I also spearhead the University and K-12 Academic programs of NIPH in Luzon. In this role, I engage industry engineers and scientists to make sure they have the most optimal NI hardware and software configuration for their applications. This involves pre-sales technical consulting and system configuration as well as post-sales technical support. Aside from these, I regularly conduct technical hands-on workshops and seminars to introduce the latest NI technology to new and existing NI platform users. For the academic side, I work with K-12, undergraduate, and post-graduate level educators and researchers to help them expand teaching and research capabilities that not only matches the local curriculum but also rivals international academic standards. Part of this role is developing the educators' and researchers' competence by conducting technical training courses that shorten their learning curve in adopting NI technology for the academe.For both fields, I am heavily involved in planning and executing marketing seminars, summits and symposiums to expand NI technology usage within the country. During these events, I present in front of fellow engineers, professors, scientists and other technology professionals regarding topics of automated testing, instrumentation, data acquisition, process automation, radio frequency (RF) applications, and educational engineering equipment.
