      Noncompliance (Process Efficiency) Team Lead, • Lead and manage process improvement strategy and implementation: leverage lean principles to enhance effective and efficient coordination between multiple offices, solve technical problems, expedite cost recovery, and reduce lengthy legal review and adjudication process. • Identify and resolve system lags by analyzing current and future state models and incorporating process improvement techniques to resolve issues. Created a multi-divisional tracking system to create additional efficiency. • Created the Compliance Assistance Program and implemented process improvement strategies to uncover inefficiencies in 12% of our fiscal awards. Resulted in the reduction of noncompliance actions by 78% and the recovery of $1.3M in non-SRF and $113M in SRF funds for public reinvestment. Show less Focus Area 1: Water Division Sustainability Lead:-• Analyzed challenges and explored opportunities centered around the Water-Energy Nexus to tackle climate change. Leveraged financial, engineering, and regulatory expertise to provide innovative and sustainable water resource / infrastructure management solutions for water and energy utilities.• Developed and facilitated Water Loss Control (WLC), storm water finance, and asset management workshops with federal, state and local stakeholders to increase technical, managerial, and financial (TMF) capacity. Supported agencies by using analytical techniques to set priorities, promote emerging technology, and effectively and efficiently manage the utilization of water resources.• Partnered internally/externally to develop asset management plans, including the inventory of critical assets, evaluating their condition and performance, developing plans to maintain, repair, and replace assets, and developing infrastructure investment strategies. Focus Area 2: Lean Six Sigma Division Lean Lead & Trainer:-• Active contributor on a national team to deploy new management system nationwide. Trained leadership and staff on the EPA Lean Management System (ELMS) and lean principles. • Hosted kaizen projects across the region, including a cross-division (Water / Enforcement) collaborative project to improve the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit process. Conducted evaluations of water division programs to determine how to increase sustainability, effectiveness, and efficiency; identified near term and future sustainability programmatic opportunities.Focus Area 3: Special Appropriation Act / Environmental Finance Center Lead:-• Led region in managing complicated Congressional appropriated infrastructure projects.• Built a partnership with the Infrastructure Office to explore funding opportunities, determine legal feasibility, build capacity, and fund innovative sustainability projects. Show less • Led Nevada's Clean and Drinking Water SRF programs, managed over $307 million in low-cost financing for the development of Water Infrastructure.• Partnered with AZ, CA, HI and NV to fund "Green Project Reserve” projects to build sustainable infrastructure. A minimum of 20% of annual appropriation was direct toward four project categories; Green Infrastructure Project, Water Efficiency Projects, Energy Efficiency Projects, and Environmentally/Green Innovative Projects.• Worked with Nevada to optimize organizational changes to streamline program management processes, increase the productivity of the SRF program, and comply with federal rules and requirements. Collaborated with Nevada to provide ‘Principal forgiveness’ assistance to disadvantaged communities and Green infrastructure projects.• Served as senior advisor for EPA headquarters on the Buy American policy to incentivize the purchase of domestically manufactured products / raw materials for use in infrastructure projects.
