  51 sites in England, Scotland and Wales were surveyed between January and April 2014 with 23 sites selected for the monitoring and we installed equipment for monitoring.This equipment will measure the electricity used by the heat pumps and ancillary plant (pumps and auxiliary heaters), heat generated by the pumps and a number of key temperatures on the plant and the environment. The project involves both quantitative and qualitative aspects, looking at performance measurements and also the quality of the installations and how the equipment is used by the owners of the site. Readings are taken every minute, recorded by data loggers at each site and transmitted every hour via the cellular network to a dedicated server within the GRAHAM GROUP IT Department. Approximately one billion data points will be recorded over the two year project. Bespoke software was developed for this project to analyse the vast amount of data. This software will produce the results in a number of different formats like graphs and numerous charts for the project report. It will also allow DECC to view and download the data at any time from the secure web interface. Show less
