Ateo copier systems
Jan 1988 - Jan 1999Sales manager/branch managerATEO Copier Systems Inc. As General Manager (1995 to 1998) of this independent Panasonic Copier dealership I worked with the owner to build the dealership up to the point where he was able to sell the business to Panasonic for top dollar and retire. I then became Branch Manager for the new Panasonic branch. For 3 years in a row ATEO achieved the $1 million dollar achievement award from Panasonic. This placed us as one of Panasonic’s top 20 copy machine dealers in the country. As Sales Manager (1989 to 1995) for ATEO, I was able to build the sales team from 1 salesperson producing $20,000 a month in sales, to 8 salespeople, producing $250,000 a month. This was a huge achievement when you consider that when I joined the business it was on the verge of financial collapse. Even though we were undercapitalized, did not represent the most competitive product, and had many very aggressive competitors; I was able to make significant progress in moving the company forward. One of my key accomplishments was our sales and marketing program. This was a focused plan to tie in the efforts of the cold calls the sales people made with the sales database and customer database. This involved telemarketing, direct mail, yellow pages and special promotions. The end result was a very successful and cost efficient marketing program. Show less

My responsibilities included budget analysis, forecasting, local marketing & advertising, recruiting of sales and technical staff, and profit/loss reporting. For 2 years in a row the Denver office was the most profitable branch in the country, had the lowest employee turnover, and had highest level of customer satisfaction.
