  Neurovirology research aimed towards understanding the long-term neurocognitive effects of COVID-19 and HIV by examining neuronal exosome biology. As a research associate, I isolate neuronal extracellular vesicles form plasma through precipitation and immunoadsorption. These vesicles are eventually lysed and their cargo analyzed to examine biomarkers and other cellular cargo, which reflect the current health and potential pathologies of the brain in real time. I use NanoSight Tracking Analysis to quantify these exosomes. Additionally, I conduct RT-PCR to quantitatively measure certain biomarkers and miRNAs. Daha az göster
