My role is to manage the Facilities Engineering Department which is responsible 24/7 for nearly one million square feet of building space including a 100 bed Hospital, and twenty remote locations including doctors’ offices, two data centers and office buildings. Managed ESOC, Trained in ISO 9001. Active member of the Environment of Care Committee and Emergency Management Committee Accomplishments:  Implemented a computer based work order system that accurately tracks and trends PM’s and work orders on inventoried equipment and provides productivity data on department employees. The net result is accurate real time information available during accreditation surveys, equipment evaluation and daily productivity tracking. 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 DNV accreditation survey with no life safety deficiencies 2011 CMS survey with no life safety deficiencies 2008 and 2011 Joint Commission Life Safety survey resulted with one and no deficiencies  Created and implemented a permit program for vendors working in the facility to monitor and inspect their work prior to payment. The end result is that quality has improved and life safety issues have diminished. Raise the bar for contractors working on site, specifically their quality of work, infection control measures and obtaining ASHE Healthcare Construction Certificates. The overall compliance was outstanding. Created and implemented a plan to improve maintenance productivity by creating trade shops throughout the facility. Overall facilities responsibility for 30 properties which includes lab space and research facilities totaling over 1.1m square feet.With direct responsibility for the operating and capital budget, federal, state and local regulatory compliance, accreditation, readiness, vender contract negotiation, policy writing and review, department human resource management including staff evaluations, discipline, hiring, terminating and development.
