The Apprenticeship & Training Company Ltd
Apr 2017 - Oct 2019Director Of OperationsThe Apprenticeship & Training Company Ltd is Oxfordshire’s first Apprenticeship Training Agency (ATA) and was awarded ATA status by the Skills Funding Agency in 2016. An Apprenticeship Training Agency (ATA) recruits, employs and arranges training for Apprentices on behalf of employers. Apprentices are employed by the ATA, which then places them with a host employer. This means that businesses who would like to employ an Apprentice but may not currently have enough work for a full time Apprentice can still offer placements. Apprentices can share their time between different employers, giving them the opportunity to learn the full range of skills required for their Apprenticeship. Host employers pay a fee to the ATA for the services and support provided, which give a secure and flexible approach to Apprenticeships for both employer and Apprentice. The initial focus of the company is in supporting Apprenticeship growth in the construction sector in the Cherwell district both through sourcing and supplying Apprentices to host employers, but also in helping companies develop and achieve wider community and educational objectives, particularly through s106 agreements and Employment & Skills Plans.Key responsibilities as Operations Director:* Provide apprentice candidates and organise programmes to meet customer needs* Provide advice and guidance to customers to help them develop recruitment and training strategies* Provide leadership and governance including working with a Board of non-exec Directors* Promote diversity, equality and inclusion across all activities* Ensure business operations are compliant to highest standards in terms of ESFA, DfE, HMRC regulations and employment law Show less
