  The Apprenticeship & Training Company Ltd is Oxfordshire’s first Apprenticeship Training Agency (ATA) and was awarded ATA status by the Skills Funding Agency in 2016. An Apprenticeship Training Agency (ATA) recruits, employs and arranges training for Apprentices on behalf of employers. Apprentices are employed by the ATA, which then places them with a host employer. This means that businesses who would like to employ an Apprentice but may not currently have enough work for a full time Apprentice can still offer placements. Apprentices can share their time between different employers, giving them the opportunity to learn the full range of skills required for their Apprenticeship.   Based in the LEP’s Skills Hub and working alongside Buckinghamshire Business First’s Business Support team, the Apprenticeship Manager is responsible for driving the apprenticeship agenda in Buckinghamshire on behalf of the Buckinghamshire Local Enterprise Partnership (BLEP) in terms of spreading knowledge among key stakeholders, growth sector and enterprise zone engagement, supporting levy payers and non-levy SMEs, and building business sector groups (Digital, Creative and Media, Construction, Med Tech, High Tech, and Space) and apprenticeship networks.
