  A Fellow in the UGC (UPE) Research Project, University of CalcuttaI worked as a research-fellow in the UPE project – Quest for an Alternative Discourse: Impact of France on the 19th and the Early 20th Century Bengali Intellectuals, under the supervision of Prof. Chinmoy Guha, Department of English, University of Calcutta. The project-work involved thorough library-work and incisive study of the texts authored by the Bengali writers of that period, and summing up the different forms of influence the French writers and philosophers had on Bengal even during the British rule.
