So far in my program I have learned a lot of things such as proper animal restraints, identifying different pathogens and parasites, perform blood, fecal, urine tests. I have learned how to take an animal's TPR (temperature, pule, respirations) and knowing if they are normal or if the animal is above or below normal ranges. I have also learned how to do skin scrapings, ear swabs, clean ears, trim nails, along with writing in medical charts. I have now taken specific courses in the last few semesters specializing in Pharmacology, Hematology, Parasitology, Imaging, Large Animals, Exotics, Small Animal Nursing and Nutrition. I should be done with all my courses by June and graduated by September 2016. Show less
