  I started at unitec in 2007 teaching Marine engineering level 4 at Mt. Albert campus, 2011 I was asked to run the automotive course at Albany, became program leader for the level 3 & 4 with 65 students, I teach the level 3 with appox 30 students.I was able to achieve my Graduate Diploma in Higher Education in 2010, I am know working on my Masters in Education. In 2012 I won two staff awards 1st one Innovation in Teaching and learning (The winner in the innovation in teaching and learning category is inspiring lecturer and leader who promotes collaboration within his team. He is a Northern campus champion of moodle and living Curriculum and shows dedication to the needs of all his students. Described by his team as someone young people can look up to, our winner is committed to practical teaching providing students with an understanding of what skills they will need to successfully enter the workforce upon completion of study. It is through this dedication and commitment he sees excellent success and retention of his students)2nd award People choice (In recognition of an outstanding contribution to the objectives and success of this institution).In 2014 and 2015 I have been put forward for Tertiary Teaching Excellence Awards. 2014 I became the operation manager of the Albany campus. I am know reasonable for all the students 400 and 20 staff.With this role I am out working with all the schools, going to careers expo evenings, taking to students and parents. Making sure all the staff and students are ok, work alongside with the industry and all the schools. And getting student involved with the automotive industry, hopefully at the end of the course obtaining apprenticeships for them.2014 I was given the Executive Dean's Award for Exceptional service.
