  Provided daily oversight, direction and guidance to the operations and maintenance of a 120MW, gas-fired, combined cycle power plant and one 45MW simple cycle LM6000 unit; scheduled and directed a staff of 10 operators and 4 maintenance technicians. Held concurrent responsibility of interim General Manager for eight generating assets. Hired, built and supervised the O&M team. Designed, developed and ensured adherence to a $3 million dollar operating and major maintenance budget. Additionally, charged with preparing and presenting a monthly spend forecast with +/- 10% accuracy levels. Championed the implementation and usage of Maximo CMMS for efficient maintenance planning, asset management, inventory, safety, resource allocation, and purchasing. Slashed inventory costs by spearheading reorganization and ongoing management of a $2 million dollar stock of spare parts consisting of consignment and regular inventory. Minimized equipment failure incidents by conducting pre-start checks on plant equipment and monitoring plant machinery both online and offline.  Provided operational information advise to management and other entities, through over 20 timely and accurate weekly, monthly and annual reports. Interpreted, monitored and ensured compliance of the facility with all permit conditions, EH&S programs, and laws by using real-time inspection and daily review of all O&M paperwork. Liaised and maintained relationships with representatives from Calpine Energy Services, WAPA, Calpine Fuels, CAISO, PG&E, and the CPUC. Earned 8 stellar awards for outstanding performance in a span of 11 years with Calpine.
