      Project managed the wind-down activities of three legacy Commissions’, including the closure of the final accounts, transfer of fixed assets, application of legacy pay remits, identifying pension liabilities and disposals of legacy properties. Project managed the Transition Team’s internal ICT system, undertaking negotiations with contractors, suppliers and Department for Trade and Industry building and ICT management teams. This project was delivered within a six week timeframe.

      Led the implementation of two projects:- Data Warehouse and Business Information System – reporting system;- Registration Authority project – a smartcard system for staff to access new patient records, in line with a national rollout of a new care records system across the NHS.

      TV Switchover Project Manager

      Led the planning and management of the Digital TV Switchover projects, preparing TV viewers in the UK to switch from analogue to digital television. TV Switchover, one of the biggest engineering and consumer change programmes in the UK, impacted more than 26 million homes and delivery spanned across a wide range of multi-agencies and stakeholders. While the programme was complex and challenging it was successfully delivered on time and within budget. The programme was rated green status by the OGC in its last two years – a rare achievement for such a complex programme. My role involved: - planning, monitoring and reviewing the progress of workstream and stakeholder plans and activities, ensuring the successful delivery of switchover projects across the UK; - developing weekly progress, checkpoint and lessons learned reports and briefing notices for communication of project/programme progress to governance groups, SMT, workstreams and stakeholders;- identifying, logging and communicating risks, issues and dependencies to workstream leads and stakeholders, contingency planning and facilitating the resolution of risks and issues;- ensuring effective stakeholder engagement - project sponsors, DUK delivery teams, partners and contractors; - translating highly complex technical information about engineering works, aerials and equipment etc into plain language for wider communication by operational teams to the media, trade and TV viewers. - Developed an on-line planning and reporting tool to support the management and communication of plans and activities across the organisation and stakeholder groups, empowering teams to maintain their own plans, but acting as a Centre of Excellence, reminding and checking along the process. - Led the development of third sector plans and reporting processes in collaboration with an outsourced outreach team, ensuring the successful delivery of support to viewers who needed extra help.
