  Graphic Designer and Solar Panel Installer

  I volunteered with the nonprofit GRID Alternatives through a program at UC Berkeley (Solar Spring Break) to install solar panels in low-income communities in Salinas and Oakland. This program focuses on the importance of environmental justice and renewable energy, and allowed me to gain hands-on experience in building renovation. I was in charge of designing graphics to fundraise and promote the program.

  Solar Spring Break Team Lead

  Solar Spring Break is an alternative spring break program by the nonprofit GRID Alternatives in which college students learn about environmental justice and solar energy and install solar panels for low-income families. After volunteering for the Solar Spring Break program in 2018, I co-led a team of 24 people for the 2019 trip. Throughout the year we recruited for the program, fundraised $10,000, taught a class at UC Berkeley on environmental justice and solar energy, planned the spring break trip, and led the solar installation trip. This job provided me valuable experience in leadership, teamwork, fundraising, solar installation, and environmental justice. Show less
