      My role required analysing the Campaign Design Brief (CDB) and identifying the requirements and risks of the Campaign at hand; then developing a plan to execute the Campaign within the given time-frame which required communicating requirements to Technical Team and developing the Campaign SQL code with their collaboration. Furthermore, I had to run the Campaign in PL/SQL to fetch required data and analyzing it through the Query Commanding process to ensure it meets requirements and quality standards. After quality checks were met, I had to insert the data into relational databases for further analysis by the Client. The successful completion of the Campaign was then communicated to the Client for feedback and adaptation to changes. I was commended by the Client and my Manager for efficiency and attention to detail. I learnt SQL in a challenging environment without prior technical background and I directly communicated with the international Client for analysis of task requirements and feedback. Show less

      The Research and Advocacy Fund is a programme funded by the DFID and AusAid and managed by the British Council. As a Media and Communications officer, I had to ensure that RAF’s promotion was effectively managed through media and communications’ activities. I proactively liaised with all the stakeholders, RAF team, and the media for smooth coordination and effective execution of the plans. I provided creative direction for content of the IEC material developed by RAF, its grantees, and the PR agency. I also introduced and developed RAF’s first year-round social media plan. Most significantly, I headed the media and communications activities for the Final Annual Conference of RAF held in January 2015 which was a major challenge as it is the culmination of the programme and this conference was critical for showcasing the entire RAF portfolio and setting a way forward for the Maternal and Newborn health sector in Pakistan and the region. My efforts translated into success through the presence of 21 channels for media coverage, reaching 5.3 million users on Social Media, and when our conference’s exclusive hashtags were trending in Pakistan on the conference days.       As the RAF project wrapped up, I took up the short-term position of Project Development Officer at Umeed Jawan, the USAID funded project under Pakistan Transition’s Initiative managed by Creative Associates International. This role has added a new dimension to my experiences. My role is to monitor and keep track of the milestones due from grantees within time, writing weekly reports and success stories of the grants’ impacts in the society, liasing with the grantees for MoVs submission in accordance with donor guidelines, field visits to monitor the progress of the IPs in the targeted area, and undertaking other activities to efficiently close-out the program within time. Weekly reporting, writing success stories, communications material development and editing, monitoring field visits and field reporting, Final evaluation reports development and editing for M&E, and other close-out activities. This project has given me the opportunity to understand the development, implementation, and final close-out of projects/grants and maintain timely track of the deliverables to ensure smooth close-out in a donor-funded project.
